@maguney Thanks, but I’m wondering about ED acceptance/deferment/rejection statistics. Does anyone even get rejected ED? The website says yes, but anecdotally, I haven’t heard of anyone. I’ve checked the Common Data Set, but you can’t get that info there.
I was an athlete, who committed to play for the school in July, and was deferred. I have a 1240 two-part, along with a 4.1 GPA. Very displeased, because admission told me in July, I would definitely be admitted. Now I have 0 college options.
I’m wondering if anyone else got accepted/deferred/rejected. It would also be great if you could post your stats.
@jam020194 What message did you get that made you think you’d get in?
My D was deferred.
3.98 GPA, 29 ACT, multiple good visits/interviews. Legacy (grandfather, who doesn’t give much if any $ though). Top 10-15% in high school, 6 APs, good but not distinguishing ECs. (Lots of volunteering, club athletics, work, NHS, MVP & all-star varsity athlete, but at gymnastics – not an F&M sport)
Knew it was a reach, but disappointed anyway.
@Pheebers I just know that international applicants, especially from VN, are mostly deferred/denied this ED. I am deferred too… I have checked the college data, but apparently the stats are not available. As far as I know, the ED stats of F&M are very varied from years to years, but most people say that it is getting harder to be accepted during ED at F&M.
