F&M Q&A

Hello, I'm currently a freshmen at F&M and a student worker at the Admissions Office. I'm starting this discussion to answer questions or concerns about admissions, academics, campus life or in general about F&M. So if you have any, don't hesitate to ask!

Hi am curious about applying sat optional. Where/how do I send in my essays instead of my test scores?

@zeitgeist101: If you are an American student, SAT is optional. However, if you are an international student, SAT (or ACT) is required (unless the test is not offered in your country).

If you are eligible to have your SAT requirement waived, I think there will be an option for that in your application.

Does F&M give the same level of financial aid to regular admits as they give to early decision admits? Thank you.

@Burgermeister: F&M meets 100% demonstrated need of admitted students, regardless of ED or RD admission. This applies to both American and international students. Although the policy is generous, the budget for international students is limited, so in some cases F&M can defer an international ED applicant who needs a lot of financial aid just in order to compare him/her to the RD applicant pool to make sure that the money is given to the most suitable students.

Hello I am applying for F&M and was wondering when do we have to submit our two graded samples because I am currently working on projects and they are not graded yet and will not be by the due date. So I was wondering is there is an extended date?
