I am a sophomore majoring in computer science, and my grades are inconsistent. I had some issues during my freshman year thus my grades dipped. I even have on my 3 'F’s from those days, however, I have made it up since then. My CGPA has boomed and my grades are far more consistent. Also, I am working towards my first publication and I am planning to sit for GRE in near future. But honestly, I am some doubt if I still have a chance. How much will the 'F’s affect my chance of graduate admission?
This question likely is better addressed in one of CC’s postgraduate forums. It would also be helpful if you specified:
- What you intend to study in graduate or professional school;
- What grades you have achieved and what curriculum you’ve pursued as an undergraduate;
- What undergraduate school(s) you have attended;
- What institution(s) you hope to attend for your advanced degree(s).
Thank you.
