<p>okay, so after hearing all my older friends talk about it, i was excited to make my own account...but i cant figure out how to use it properly. I'm not retarded, i filled out my profile and stuff. but it only lets me see the profiles of people who go to my university. otherwise when i search people, i just see their photo thing. When you search do you have to know where they go to school? isnt there a way to jsut search for people you know? and i dont get what makes it addicting...yet-which probably means there is something I'm missing. so please enlighten me. Thanks!</p>

<p>go to global search. If you're only typing in the search at the corner I believe that only searches for people at your university.</p>
<p>I like that they only allow one picture, I find it classy in a way. Not exactly the right word, but the first that comes to mind. At least it detracts from pretentious webcam whoring pics.</p>

<p>You can see anyone's profile at your school without being their friend (unless they restrict in their privacy options). If they go to another school the only way to see it is to be their friend.</p>

<p>You can also search for people that went to a particular high school by choosing search -> high school search.</p>
