<p>YES! it can be so amusing. I wonder what those people will think of themselves 5 years from now. lolllolll I’d not dare say this on my facebook because it’ll offend people. but YES it can be extremely entertaining. I just sit there and let them entertain me when I’m bored. hahaha</p>

<p>Out of my 400ish facebook friends, I think it’s safe to say that at least 300 of them have 300+ friends. 300 insecure people? Possibly, but I don’t think so.</p>
<p>I agree - I don’t accept everyone, and I tend to be pretty heavy-handed with deleting people, but I’ve had facebook long enough that friends tend to pile up. Nothing to do with insecurity.
I have to say I’m amazed at the people who have over a thousand friends though.</p>

<p>I’d raise the bar from 300 to 600 - esp. if you see someone has more than 1000 fb friends, she must be really insecure. Somebody i know doesn’t even want others to see how many “friends” they have. haha how insecure can they get! yet everyone can tell she has more than 1000. I have about 300 fb friends. every time I post a status, I get a few responses. Every time this person post things, she gets like >50 likes or comments, sometimes more than 200, and very often they are different people. most comments don’t have any content but apparently those notifications make her happy. It’s really funny to watch - I go to watch when I’m bored and get a good laugh out of it. 
I’m thinking to myself, how can she have a life outside of fb, if she spends this much time there?! </p>
<p>I think colleges should have a major called facebook/twitter/… psychology.</p>
<p>OMGOMGOMG Orly, do you and I know the same person?! hahahahaha this is great! Apparently we are not talking about the same person. That means in addition to the person I know, there is at least one more in the world who is going out of her ways to beg for attention on facebook. :D</p>
<p>And @orly, I used to be like you - entertain myself watching this person. After a while, she became so extremely boring.</p>
