While I'm psyched everyone's excited about the possibility of getting into Harvard, I recommend that some people rethink being too arrogant or conceited about it. Nothing is wrong with putting that you got into Harvard in your status, but I disagree with the sentiment that "if there's one day you can be arrogant, it's when you get into Harvard."

Harvard has an extremely undeserved reputation for having arrogant or elitist students. While this myth couldn't be farther from the truth (if you get to know a few Harvard students this becomes immediately apparent), it isn't a good idea to give it any credibility- it doesn't help people's image of the school or (more importantly) of you.

I don't want to spoil everyone's fun though!

I'd be vague just because there are other kids at my school applying to Harvard. If I get in, at least one person was probably rejected. If I don't get in, it's likely that someone else did. So if it's just positive/negative then someone curious would probably be able to figure it out, but it's not that IN-YO-FACE so to speak. :D

if u get in, it's likely that like 8-10 kids did not

accepted: Tell me that's final, don't regret!
rejected: see you in grad school
waitlist: who cares?!

Accepted: Uh... seriously dude? Seriously? Nice try.
Waitlisted: I GOT WAITLISTED AT HARVARD AND NOT REJECTED. YESSSSSSSS OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rejected: GOT REJECTED BY HARVARD! Hellz yeah.

Balaylay is in shock... He just got into Harvard!!!

or

Balaylay got rejected from Harvard. Oh well CALTECH '13!!!

Accepted: aew;li;fjldsas;ldkfkjlkej!!!!!!!

Rejected: (Don't worry, I don't plan to be rejected)

Waitlisted: (I don't plan on that either)

:) Just kidding! I seriously don't know what I'll put. I guess I'll know when I get there....in a few days...a.k.a. next week...almost...haha :D

But yeah, I'll let my heart pour out of my fingertips when it's time!!! Just going to live on the moment...and basically thank God for whatever my decision is. I'm sure whatever it is, it's part of His plan for me.

I'm not 100% on what I would do. Most of the people at my school who post their acceptances are for schools that aren't as prestigious, and I don't want to sound arrogant or elitist (although, when I was accepted to Georgetown University, I couldn't help but rejoice). It will probably go something like this:

Accepted: Rabar789 is HAHVAHD
Rejected: Rabar789 is probably going to Gtown
Waitlisted: Rabar789 forgot that there was such a thing as a waitlist

(Let's face it, most of us know that there is a huge chance of getting rejected and a slight chance of getting accepted. Getting waitlisted is just annoying.)

jpd8891 bleeds crimson.

I think I'd post something totally unrelated like yalerose just got into Middle Tennessee State University!

Or maybe:

Butternut got into Harvard. Inconeivable.

Harvard + squaregirl: Mwaawage is a bweautiful thing.

^ LOL, that's awesome!

haha these are great.
