<p>I want to go really bad but it is so expensive! My parents said no :-( They said to spend the 3,000 dollars on things I'll need like a new comp and laptop :-(</p>
<p>Gaucho8, $3000 is actually pretty cheap compare to the regular tuition and you can skip like a few basic classes</p>
<p>Hereisnowhere, I am from Taiwan, but I am not going summer start, I really want to take a break from school. there are many people from HK, Taiwan and China in UCSB, I am sure you will get some help. I already met a few during spring insight :) You can search in the student directory under GOLD</p>
<p>Well, I only have to pay 6,000 for tuition so needless to say, 3,000 for just the summer is not worth it...</p>
<p>You'll be fine without FSSP. For those going, just be aware of drama. A bunch of recent HS grads first time away from home all grouped together with a minuscule number of classes has its bad mixes with too much free time.</p>
