<p>I had 1 roommate (out of 10) who didn't sign up for Facebook for whatever reason and it really did elicit some questions and strange looks from people. It is an enormous time-waster, but not getting one is a surefire way to socially ostracize yourself.</p>
<p>Facebook is only good for stlkaing your friends (as many have said), but largely, it is not worth it.</p>
<p>Most of my friends picked Facebook over MySpace. I usually scare the **** out of people with my profile blaring metal music and a background of a Slayer Album Cover. I also get repulsed at blinding pink profiles with some weird pop music.</p>
<p>Facebook is much better because you actually see full names and of course, see what all your friends are doing.</p>
