Right now, my life pretty much sucks. I applied to 4 schools and got rejected by 2, one match, + one reach, and only accepted to the 2 safties that i applied to. I regret not having applied to the two schools that i really wanted to attend and may have a good chance to getting in: UIUC and Wellesley. But now it's too late since i'm a senior. also, i don't want to transfer or anything later on. i want to start + end in the same school. Is there anything I can do rt. now to possibly get into one of the other two colleges?

is there nothing i can do???????

hmm....go to the safties? are they that bad?

either look to see if any colleges still have admissions or go to the safety and transfer

If you don't want to go to one of your two safeties and later transfer to one of the two you really want, the only alternative I can see at this point is to take a gap year and apply to them next year. I've never heard of anyone getting into a school applying way after the deadline.

Sorry, but why didn't you apply to where you wanted to go?

You know, it might not be the end of the world to go to a safety for a year. You could get your distribution requirements out of the way there and still study your field where you want to study it (assuming a successful transfer).

you could try appealing...

Maybe I misinterpreted the question ... are you asking about getting into one of the places that denied your application or one of the places you didn't apply to in the first place?

If the former, only a few places have appeal procedures and I'm not sure how successful people ever are at them. But I guess you don't lose anything by asking. The worst that could happen is they tell you to go away.
