Hi, I recently submitted my FAFSA and everything was processed correctly. I put in 10 schools, but I applied to a few more. My parents have not yet done their 2013 tax returns. Now, I know I can add schools to the FAFSA after it has been processed and have looked over some FAQs relating to the subject. Do I have to wait till some of my schools verify that they receive the FAFSA before adding new schools/replacing old ones, or will the system save the data that I have already given it? Also, if I change the information in the FAFSA to reflect the 2013 tax returns after they have been filed, will I have to go back and re-add all the schools?

Once your SAR has been processed you can make your college changes. The schools will have gotten their copy. Yes, once you update for the actual tax returns you will have to go back and re-add all the schools (if you’re still interested in attending them).
