To Chesserforlife: My major is biochem.I can’t see my housing either

kahn you have e-mail? lets go through the process because I could see myhousing but not that much. lets chat about it

wouldn’t it make general sense that if you can even MAKE the log on ID then you’re in? why would they let random people who haven’t been admitted into the system to make log on ID’s?

you cannot see your financial aid information yet if you are in a major other than arts, film, etc. it seems that these majors got invites for an open house and are in a whole different boat than say letters and science majors, etc. don’t freak out, i can’t see mine either but i don’t expect to until probably about 1 or 2 weeks. it seems that the average amount of time before getting accepted was about a week that you were able to see the financial aid information, which wouldn’t be until the end of next week.

chesser- the columns will not change until the option for accepting your SIR is decided, which would not be until about 1 or 2 days before official decisions come out.

Everyone can make a log in ID.

*everybody can make those log in ID’s if you have a UCLA ID #, which everyone that applied got so doesn’t mean a thing.

To chesserforlife: bennyboy8866@gmail.com Yep, we can chat about it …

Ideee I am praying your comment is correct. I have been asking myself the same exact question. I dont know but for some reason everyone who has logged into these sites myucla and ursa in the past have successfully been admitted. Maybe the assumption is that those who do get rejected, don’t want to announce it or something.

Kahn I just sent you a good e-mail please follow the instructions and if you get confused with any step, please feel free to e-mail me. do yuo use gmail messenger as well?

“I dont know but for some reason everyone who has logged into these sites myucla and ursa in the past have successfully been admitted. Maybe the assumption is that those who do get rejected, don’t want to announce it or something.”

I was around here last year, and that’s not the case. Many people couldn’t see their financial aid info, or it didn’t say admit and their major on their myucla page, and most of those people didn’t get it.

I believe the first thing will be that it will say admit and your major on your myucla page. Then a little bit later you will be able to see your Fafsa info on ursa. And lastly you will see the SIR page hours before decisions are released. All these things will happen, assuming you were admitted and you submitted Fafsa. While this is happening, people who can’t see this stuff will try to justify it and say it doesn’t mean anything, and try to demean people who could see it, only to later be rejected.

To Chesserforlife: I’m sorry for this inconvenience, My email address suppose to end with .com not .net.

cheba, you make a good point. let’s remember though this year for the freshmans official decisions came out on the 23rd something like that and everyone who got admitted could see their status on myucla and ursa. these sites are different than the real decisions but they are similar in that if you see everything that you just mention than your in. Now I have a question to ask you, why don’t I hear a lot of people on these sites talk about beieng rejected and using these myucla and ursa accounts? Is it because they’re embarassed to announce it publicly? whats your major by the way?

kahn I sent you the e-mail to your e-mail please check it

To Cheeser, Idee, and everyone else freaking out:

Calm down, most people were not able to see their Financial Awards until around the April 16th last year. There were plenty of people that could not see their Financial Awards immediately and still got in.

Like sweetnezz pointed out, the people who are most likely able to see it are those in Arts, Theater, and Architecture. They have also already been invited to an open house for their specific department too.

I am sure L&S majors will not be able to see any of this info for possibly another week or two. Do not freak out please. Cheeser, relax man, this is not a big deal. If anything, you should look forward to being able to possibly find out early again if FA is leaked on URSA in the next 2 weeks.

I don’t know, last year for transfers, and this year for freshman, I saw a lot of people mention not being able to see such things and then end up being rejected, but I’m sure many are embarassed and hide that info. I’m a philosophy major. I got into UCLA last year, and applied again this year with a higher GPA (3.56 last year, 3.76 now), so I’m not too worried about not getting in.

Sorry everyone, I didn’t realize that this would raise such a frenzy. I was assuming the financial aid info would be up for those outside my department as well. Here’s a screen shot of what I’m sure ALL of you will be seeing in the upcoming weeks! Lets all keep our fingers crossed for each other to maximize the benefits!

myfinancialaid

cina when did that come up for you?

cinamint, did you file a FAFSA and update it with info from this year’s income tax returns…maybe that’s why some of us haven’t been seeing the new screen…I am trying to stay hopeful:)

Is URSA unavailable for anyone else? It’s not letting me log in.

Perhaps they’re updating URSA with information that might concern us… :o

I can’t log onto the ucla decisions login page…maybe they’re updating now :x
