FAFSA confusion . . .

I fear ridicule, for this question feels kinda dumb to ask, but on the site for the apps I'm seeing "2006-2007" school year. This is in reference to the year of the senior year in high school for the applicant, right?

No, I believe you do the FAFSA for the year that you will attend college. It's available starting Jan 1.

Oh, ok. Thank you!

It definitely refers to the year you will be attending college. So to use the 2006-07 FAFSA, you will be enrolled this fall/spring for college.

The FAFSA for 2007-08 will not be available until January 1 (because it requires income information for 2006).
