FAFSA Corrections troubles

When I created FAFSA ID, my name and my SSN are matched.
But when I finished the application for FAFSA, it said there is and “h” which is an error next to my first and last name, and also the SSN.
But I checked million times that I the correct SSN, and my name in.
What should I do???

(Updating) Most likely, the name you used does not EXACTLY match the name on your Social Security card. Double check this. Did you get an Expected Family Contribution on your Student Aid Report? If so, the h is there to prompt you to double check your information. It won’t affect your ability to get aid. You can contact the FAFSA help line to ask about it, if you’d like.

Ya I received the EFC number, but the “h” still appear. I kind of headache right now. But thanks for helping

Don’t worry about it. If the schools need anything related to it, they will ask you for it. An h is just a “maybe there might be a problem” indicator. Like I said, schools may or may not ask you for something related to it later. The fact that you have a valid EFC means it didn’t reject.

But there is a letter C next to my EFC. I scre i will be rejected

Are you a naturalized citizen? Or a permanent resident?

I am natural citizen. I meant, T received EFC number, but after the number it is an C.:rofl:

The C is something called a SAR C flag. It means that the school has to request some additional information from you (each school). Most of the time, it seems to be related to citizenship, if the student was not born in the U.S. The school would need to see a U.S. passport or naturalization papers in that case. Other times, it has to do with selective service registration. There are some other reasons, but those are the most common.
