Hi, I'm a student and I filed the FAFSA on January 1st with my parents. I received an email saying
"Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been processed and the data will be made available to the school(s) listed on your FAFSA. The financial aid office at your school will contact you if additional information is required." and Then it gives me some links.
So I go on the link and I click the processed information and it doesnt say anything about money the schools I listed are going to give. It says nothing. I'm worried that I didn't get anything...I dont come from a high income family so Im really worried. What is this? Is it not done yet?

No, relax. The FAFSA only produces an EFC and the schools use that to prepare FA packages.

Right. FAFSA provides the information and the universities will make the offers to you directly. You will obviously not be made an offer of financial aid until you have been offered admission. You can always check online with the Financial Aid people at the universities or call them if you have more specific questions. I have had to call several on my son’s behalf and they are terrific.
