Got an email with SAR saying processed and sent to schools but said there was an error on the DOB for my husband. We logged in to correct and I got another email from FAFSA saying processing (just like I got when first submitting the application). Should I be worried that this will be delayed and audited now?
Anyone have experiences with this?

No. The FAFSA correction is processing by US Dept of Education.

Thank you!
Does the fact that it was successfully processed (even with the wrong DOB) mean my D’s colleges can begin to get to work with our financial aid award? or does it not?

You will be able to log in and make the change once your FAFSA has been processed. You shouldn’t have any issues once the change is made.

Yes. However ,wrong DOB may impact your EFC. You’re doing the right thing to correct the FAFSA.

Ok-thanks. I’ve already made the change.

Was worried because I’ve read here that changing anything is not recommended. Guess this one cant be avoided though.

Yes, it did-- brought it down a whopping $85.00 Interesting!!!
The wrong date had dad younger than D–LOL

The reason it brought the EFC down is because there is a portion of the formula that is based on the age of the older parent. I am betting your H is the older parent!

Yes he is. You all are so smart here–Seriously! I’ve learned sooo much!!!
