FAFSA - Submitted now says isn't

<p>We submitted the FAFSA on January 6th with estimated numbers tax numbers. We got a report with an EFC etc.. I chose the option to submit without a pin. Then created a pin. My son received an e-mail that a signature was missing. So he logged on and I put in my pin and resubmitted. Now, we have a report that doesn't have an EFC or any of the other information. I am completely confused as to what is going on. I received an e-mail yesterday saying that a student has started FAFSA and it is incomplete. Will FAFSA start a whole new report even though you have already submitted and received an EFC? </p>

<p>Has anyone had this happen to them. I think we must have messed something up.</p>

<p>Hindsight is 20/20 but it probably would have been better to not submit until you had your pin. This is the ‘normal’ way. I’m surprised there is even that option. When you signed and submitted later, did your son also sign and submit again? Don’t know if that’s required but when you update info, both have to sign again. You did select to update an existing fafsa, not start a new one right? If you login now, what is the status? Are there two for 2013-14? When you look at it, is all the info you put in there? </p>

<p>If you can’t figure it out, call fafsa and ask.</p>

<p>I am willing to bet you are missing your son’s PIN. Log back in and resign with both PINs. If the issue is just signatures, that’s all you have to do!</p>
