Alright I just graduated high school and Im going on to a community college this fall and well i recently received the Fafsa verification letter a couple of days ago, and Im in desperate need for help. My mom babysits of my older sister kids at our house, but my mom did not obtain a w-2 form or any sort of other form, so my question is how am i supposed to file that?

You need to talk to your school. Is the reason she has no W2 form because she only babysits for a living with no other source of income?

Is your mom’s only source of income babysitting? The school may not believe that babysitting money is paying for the household expenses.

It seems like the OP’s mom watches his sister’s kids, at his house. Meaning the sister would pay her mom to watch her kids, and live somewhere else.

I would assume that there has to e another source of income. Do you live with your dad as well, and do you have his W2? Is the reason you don’t have your mom’s because her only income is from babysitting?

My mom isnt the only source of income. I live with my dad too, but he is retired and Im as well receiving Social Security benefits since Im still underage. My other older sister is the one who has helped out with our expenses too. Although I was wondering if for my mom a signed statement would be sufficient in this case?

Did your parents file a tax return for tax year 2011? Generally schools are looking for a tax transcript or a signed non-filers statement. What specifically is the school asking for?
