my Columbia EFC is a little over 30,000</p>
<p>Is such a large discrepancy because an error or is it common?
Is it possible to appeal to lower that number? (We really can't pay that)</p>

<p>Might be because of your home equity too. Did you turn in your 2006 Tax Returns?</p>
<p>Yeap. I believe I sent in every form they asked for EXCEPT i missed the Dec. 15 deadline for the sibling one.</p>
