Fail Honors, Retake Regular

If you fail an honors course your first quarter with a D or F, you're allowed to retake it next quarter and if you get a C or better, it replaces the failing grade in that course.

My question is if you fail that honors course and then take the same course, but this time not honors but regular, will the failing score in the honors course be replaced with the passing grade in the regular course or will there be a failed course and a passing course in two different classes.

No, I think you have to take that exact class again if you want to replace the grade. if you fail the honors course and don’t retake that exact course, an F will show up on your transcript. Honors and regular courses are not equivalent, sorry.

Only thing I can think of is discussing this with your department’s advisor and even your college advisor just to confirm how it works and see if they might be able to replace the grade for you (slim chance though). I’ve always been told it has to be that exact course, so I don’t imagine an F in an honors course is equivalent to an F in its regular version
