Failing AP Physics...Please help...

Gahhh. First quarter in and I'm failing AP Physics B. Like literally. F. Granted, the teacher hasn't put in all my grades in, so I guess it might bump up to a D. A C if I'm lucky. I have never gotten anything lower than a B, and I've only gotten 3 throughout my high school career... Not anymore :((

Other than the usual "Ask your teacher/ask others for help" are there any tips and tricks you guys have? Online resources, recommended study guides? I suppose my main concern is being able to do tests and stuff in a certain time frame. My teacher times us as if we're in the actual AP test environment and lemme tell you I am not fast x_x...

Same here. I’m barely passing AP Physics B. Granted, I’m a senior, so I don’t have as much pressure as my junior counterparts. But still.

I’m putting Khan Academy to use and have a high A after the first six weeks of school. My teacher teaches us like we already know what she’s teaching and Khan Academy is a really good explanation of why she does what she does. Not to mention that sometimes she forgets to tell us one thing and instead of going back and teaching it she’ll be like “we’ll do that at the end of class” and then the bell rings before she gets back to it.

As for time, I seriously have to tell you that the more problems you do the faster you’ll be able to do them. Find worksheets online, or if absolutely necessary go to yahoo answers and see if there are any people asking questions about problems like you’re doing, solve it, then look at the answers and explanations people give to see if you understand.

Previous poster had a good response.

I self studied physics b last year and doing C this year.
basically:

 1. Know your stuff. This isn’t hard but it must be perfected.
 2. Memorize equations. Even though you can derive them memorizing equations helps.
 3. Do LOTS of PROBLEMS. Google stuff. Also try solving things in different ways…

Also is the math giving you trouble? (It shouldn’t)

whoa, did you get a 5 on the exam? if so, i think you might possibly be a God
