Failing Organic Chemistry

I am currently a 2nd year undergrad. Bio Engineering Major. Current GPA around 3.2-3.3.

I am 90% sure I will likely not pass my Ochem class. Long story short, couldn't manage my time well. This quarter I am taking Biology (last series), OChem (upper div second), University Writing Program (upper div), Engineering (Matlab Programming).

The Engineering class is taking much more time per week than pretty much all of my other classes combined. I am losing sleep (4 hrs the past 48 hrs), skipping meals, and I havn't gone running or gone to the gym since January.

Anyways, its taking a lot of toll on me right now since I just failed my 2nd Ochem Midterm. But I'm above average in all my other classes. Learned my lesson I guess, It's okay not to take too much units.

I wanna be a Marine Veterinarian (Or maybe Pediatrician). Seeing how things are now, I will most likely remove OChem from my next quarter schedule. And well, the feeling that as of right now I have no chance at pretty much anything

Well, I'm kind of depressed right now, not gonna lie, even though im on 4 hrs of sleep I just can't seem to fall back asleep (been trying since 10PM is almost 2AM now). + I have finals in 2 weeks.

And yea, I just need some kind of encouragement right now

My Chemistry failed Organic Chemistry twice. Also, she graduated college with a 2.7 GPA. She said that class is killer, and it takes TONS of studying. If you don’t want to take it again, that’s fine, it’s a hard class in general.

Dont give up!!! Just continue trying your best and if working out takes that anger and frustration out, then workout for a day or two. Try to see if you can retake the class. Seeing that you are looking at med school its pivotal to get your science and overall gpa up. Please do not make your other classes grades go down because of this. If you have finals in 2 weeks start studying and get that gpa higher. Alot of people fail organic chem because its considered the “weeding out” class yet if science is truly your passion try to retake it over the summer. Best of luck!
