I don't know if you all got this in the mail yet or not, but these are the courses from which you will pick for your seminar during the first semester. I think you put down your top seven. It's nice that they have the professors listed this year. You can look them up at www.ratemyprofessor.com (the Pomona course review is only accessible once you have a Pomona e-mail address). If you have questions about any classes or professors, I can try to answer them but it looks to me that I'm unfamiliar with the majority.

the critical inquiry selections look pretty excellent this year, in my opinion more fun than some of the ones previously offered. any one know the chance of getting your top choice or one from your top couple of choices?

The chances of getting one of your 7 are rather excellent, but keep in mind that the whims of your classmates is ultimately what decides which particular ID001s are "popular." The majority of y'all may think that European Cinema is rather appealing, for example. However, if too many sign up for that particular one, then of course there will be people who won't get it. In short, there might be a significant chance you won't get the ones near the top of your list, especially if there is class-wide interest in those choices. I hope this helps.

I've had 4 of the profs, and one of the seminars sounds nearly identical to the one I took (same prof and all). And I know some of hte other profs by reputation. If anyone wants to pm me about it, I'd be glad to give my viewpoint, though obviously I won't have an opinion about all of them.
