Since there is already a thread for freshmen fall grades, I decided to create one for us upperclassmen. How did you do? Overall, were you satisfied?

HIST 300A - Historical Thinking: A
HIST 320 - Modern European History, 1789 to the Present: A
HIST 432 - Modern German History, 1871 to the Present: A
HIST 481B - California History: A

GPA: 4.0

I am so happy. This is the first time that I've ever earned a 4.0! I've always come close, but I'm thrilled that my hard work paid off. It was a fantastic semester!

Junior non transfer
Economics major, Linguistics minor

ECN 111A - US ECN History Colonial Times - Civil War: A+
ECN 160B - International Macroeconomics: A
LIN 103A - Phonetics/Phonology/Morphology (first upper div linguistics class): A

also my first 4.0 got a 3.9 last quarter so i really wanted it, heh.

i love economic history. i’m taking the B class (Civil War - Cold War) next quarter with the same professor. probably the best lecturer i’ve ever had. and she’s cute too, haha.
if you have a decent department and can take it as an elective or something, you should take an economic history course it provides an interesting perspective on what you’ve already probably studied

I’m a senior with a chemistry major and math minor. I had to drop my classics minor and I’m disappointed about that.

Methods of Instrumental Analysis: A
Polymer Physics: A
Linear Algebra: B+
Honors Thesis: S
Energy and Humanity: A+

That’s a 3.8 for the semester but is subject to change (the thesis will be graded next semester once complete and that grade will replace the S). Considering how much time I was putting in towards my thesis (usually 20 or so hours per week) plus tutoring 15 hours per week, I was happily surprised that my grades turned out as well as they did. I was the only person in my polymer physics class to get a solid A and I’m really proud of that considering there were grad students in the class as well.

Still, a 3.8 brings my overall GPA up by 0.02, to a 3.62.

Junior (senior standing) dual degree BA Arts & Humanities, BS anthropology

Decided to get most of my science classes out of the way this year after not taking a math or science in 3 years- it was not smart on my part given my workload (outside school) this semester haha:

We don’t get letter grades.
Language and Culture: Endangered languages 4.0
Biocultural evolution 4.0
New Horizons in Biotechnology: 3.5
Physics: 3.0
Public Health: 4.0

Semester GPA: 3.7, overall: 3.8. Aiming to get my GPA up to a 3.9 before I graduate (4 semesters left…)

Junior Church Music major, Psychology minor

Baroque, Classical, and Romantic Music: B+
Psychology Statistics: B+
Choir: A
Voice Lesson: A
Voice Jury: A- (this was basically my voice lesson exam, but it also shows whether I should graduate or not)
Conducting: A (very proud of this. I was scared to do my final, but I think I directed well)
Voice Colloquium: S (this can’t get a letter grade)
CC (Honors College) Symposium: S (the grade is based on attendance, and it’s 0 credits)

Overall, I think I did well. I have a 3.512 overall, and about a 3.6 for this semester.

Sophomore math education major. 3.4 this semester, overall 3.5. Went down by .1 ):

I was supposed to take Calc II this semester but the section I was in was canceled, and none of the other sections opened :. I used this semester sort of as an exploratory for a possible second major and/or a minor.

I’m not thrilled about all the Bs, but I did have a lot of outside commitments this semester that really threw me off my game.

Honors British Literature - W (had to withdraw for various reasons)
Elementary French I - B (I really don’t think this is correct… still waiting for a reply from the professor)
College Chemistry - A
Chem Lab - A
Honors Human Communications - B+
Foundations of Education - B
World Politics - B+
European History, Antiquity to Revolution - B (forgot to hand in the last paper. Yes, I said forgot.)
