Natdcny, I also submitted 3 letters total and only 2 are showing. I believe you are right and the third letter is not showing because it’s not a required item. I can also tell you for a fact that I once called the admissions office and the lady acknowledged having received all three letters when reciting all of my documents they had on file that far. So no reason to worry! :)

Have you guys been calling the admissions office a lot? I feel like I’ve been almost literally harassing them…

I haven’t actually called them, I don’t imagine that eagerness is frowned upon. I’m sure they understand the stress and level of concern that’s inherent when applying to an Ivy League school.

Better safe then sorry!
Good Luck!

Hi KOKO2013,
I am also not native English speaker, I took TOEFL for GS. What’s your Toefl Score ? I also couldn’t pass the 100 but I am very close, my score is 90. I had asked the admission officer about TOEFL score requirement he told me that minimum score must be 100 and he said it is very competitive. But the other hand I talked with couple GS students they told me that if you are close around 100, and if your essay is strong enough or high GPA vs they might consider your score.

Hi misshotan,
Thanks for the Infos. I was traveling a lot and forgot my TOEfL test date. I got 59 on it. I have a good essay and a 3.8 GPA with 58 semester credits hrs. I am still in service(US Air Force) and I never have time to study for my TOEFL. I still have hope.

Your Welcome KOKO,
You are still in service, so if you indicated this in your essay or cv, they will eventually consider that your situation. I scored 71 at first time in TOEFL although I studied really hard for the exam. this is was my second toefl exam. Toefl exam is really hard, but you need experience and tips and tricks then you will easily score higher.

Finally my application is under review!! Just got an email from one of the admissions managers. Now yet a new torture begins! lol

Denbal87,

That’s awesome! Was this someone from GS you’ve been in touch with, or did it seem like an automated reply? Just wondering, as I never revived anything.

Did anyone else get this sort of email?

I haven’t received any emails other than the auto. generated " your application has been received." What does this mean?
Anyone that’s already been accepted what to jump here!?

@hismatix I have been in contact with one of the admissions managers; he helped me bypass taking the TOEFL, and I recently emailed him wondering whether the TOEFL requirement had been taken off of my application. He replied saying that my file is under review and they will use my SAT score to make a decision. I have communicated to a few people from Columbia with different questions and everyone of them has been great at responding.

But did you receive the email?

which email?

denbal87,

Thanks for clarifying. Great news nonetheless! Hopefully we keep hearing good news on the thread.

I emailed their office’s address inquiring about a late-received transcript. When it was processed I received a response saying that the transcript was received “in late March,” and that my app was “under review.” Although I applied EA, I was told to expect a response by 15 May. They named the institution from which the transcript came, so it seemed personalized, although very politely worded.

I haven’t received any “under review” email either.

tomorrow is friday, meaning another week’s gone. how much more time do they need, i’m wondering. they are obviously running behind last year’s schedule, increased number of applicants would be an educated guess. i’ve been through this nerve racking process once, and i didn’t like it. yet again it’s controlling my mind, i just hope it all worths it.

they are definitely starting to send out decisions now!

fy2140,

Are you suggesting you’ve heard more good news?

i didn’t hear, i saw.

btw, we can let go of our iphones, they said they are not gonna call, but mail.

fy2140, thanks for the info. did you visit GS?

and we’re talking FedEx envelopes right? because it seems almost everyone on previous threads were getting FedEx Overnight deliveries from GS, which in my own experience could get very pricey (but probably doesn’t matter to them). or regular US mail? I could be wrong…

ok this is more nerve wrecking now!!
