I just about died today. I walked up to my front door and saw a Fedex package, I thought to myself “this is it!”. I look at it and notice it’s from my car insurance company! I walk in, sit down and begin studying, then I hear a knock at the door! “FedEx!” I answer it, grab the package and open it up. I got my replacement debit card.

I have the worst luck ever. I KNOW I’m going to get notification on the very last day possible…

Hey all, just checking in to let you all know that I heard back from GS for the fall 2014 semester (accepted, yay).

Not sure exactly when the mail arrived. I was out of the country from April 1st - April 14th, and when I got home on April 14th (a Monday) it was there. I would guess it probably arrived at the end of last week.

Good luck to all still waiting to hear back!!

I am located on the east coast. I don’t want to delve too much into my background, but my credentials are no where near as impressive as @Tobrwa’s are…so don’t be too intimidated!

@Stein614 I haven’t heard that they accept earlier than they reject. I imagine letters go out at the same time, but maybe rejection letters aren’t sent by FedEx and take longer to arrive? Alternatively, your acceptance letter could just arrive later.

Thanks @justaheadsup11 I was getting a little worried because I live in long island which is not so far from Columbia. I just gave them a call and they said my decision is being finalized. I wonder why it is taking so long…

Hmmm… Applied early action. Just got off the phone and was told I would be notified within 4-6 weeks. Don’t know what to think lol… Doesn’t sound like very good news to me. Ha!

That’s so strange. I got off the phone with them like 10 min ago and they told me I will hear a decision by may 1st. They also told me my decisions was being finalized 2 weeks ago.

@Stein614 What exactly did you ask them Stein? I just said, “Can you provide me with a status?” and the first thing they said was that I would receive notice via mail within 4-6 six weeks. Ha!

I asked verbatim where my application is in the decision process. They responded that my decision is being finalized 2 weeks ago. I just called today and they said it is still under review.
