@2vivie I got into CPP and I’m still waiting on CSUF. I’m torn between the two schools because I live an equal distance from them. I rather go to CSUF because it would be a change of scenery. I attend Mt.SAC and Mt.SAC is literally down the street from CPP. But I’ve heard CPP is a better school overall than CSUF. (Looked at US News College Rankings.) Also my friends attend CPP and they are doing the 2 year pledge. That’s a reason I would attend CPP instead of CSUF, because I would get priority registration as long as I graduate in 2 years. I guess I’ll have to wait and see if I get into CSUF. If not, I’m completely fine going to CPP.

@justinmega1- I was rejected from csulb, so i really didn’t have a choice. I’m a freshman applicant and acknowledge that CSUF’s business program is excellent, but I picked CPP because of the hands on learning environment it will give me. I ended up calling admissions office on Friday that I rejected my decision to csuf. I already accepted to go to csuf, but I easily changed my mind after researching other factors.

@LAchick21- Both universities are excellent. Some people go by what major is impacted or good at certain schools, but others consider the whole factor. CSUF and CPP both have their highlights and low lights, but in the end we cannot go to both. Sadly, I was torn at my end decision because I wanted to go to both, but I went ahead with my first choice. I plan to stay at CPP for the next 4 years and somehow get my MBA at USC or UCLA. I cannot predict my future, but I for sure will try to make it happen. Be sure to take a tour at CSUF and compare the 2 campus. A pro/con list may be helpful in determining where you want to go. Good luck!

Is anyone a living at the village? Or going to apply?

CPP keeps emailing me reminding me that I need to take the Elm & Ept test. Dont know if its a good thing or bad thing.

BTW for Engineering what school is best CPP , SJ , CSUF?

CP SLO> SJ=CPP> all other csu’s for engineering imo @clu2014

@Data1530 Thank You After researching numerous post I agree.

nvm!

np :D

Already april and I still haven’t gotten a decision yet. This is a bad sign?

@Data1530 SJ=CPP for eng? it is because CPP has a better program for eng but SJSU is in the heart of the silicon valley?

@cawahe I’m from San Jose and come from a family of engineers. Honestly, both SJSU and CPP are presitgious in the field quite equally. Primarily, CPP graduates have the polytechnic name thus increasing salary (this has happened with a co worker of a family). SJSU since it has connections in Silicon valley, and graduates leave making over 100k. I would say equal due to these terms, since overall graduates salary are the same.

Got in! Liberal Studies Major (Transfer AS-T) Took forever, but I’m glad I finally know.

Damn u cal poly pomona. Tell me already sigh, anyone got rejected yet? I’m applying for civil engineering

I was looking through last year’s acceptance thread and a batch of people still got no response when it was already May and June! Most of my classmates got their letters in Jan and Feb so this is not good news being empty handed already in April…

Applied for animal science and alt major food tech

Guess I’ll be sending my SIR to UCR.

For anyone else who gets accepted please cont to post here along with your major so we know there’s still hope for the rest of us!

@Data1530 I am from San Jose too. I live in their 30 mile radius. Though i have been accepted as an undeclared major. Do you perhaps know how easy it is to switch into CE?

Also if my choices are between SJSU and CPP which do you think i should choose. SJSU would save a lot of money.

@cawahe Like I said, it doesn’t really matter if you are choosing between CPP and SJSU for comp sci or comp eng. Choose what best fits you, each school has graduates who graduate and make over 100k

I applied for ME and my application is received but incomplete. Should I be worried since its only a month until final decision is due?

Holy Moly!!! I am soooooo happy!!! My son was just admitted to CPP!!! We’ve now heard from all the schools he’s applied to… but CPP is his #1.
