Fall 2015 Transfer

@gwgal123 well then… that just backs up @AJCoastie 's theory…

What was the theory? Also do you guys still not see your checklists? Mine has remained completely untouched.

that they have no real method, just throw the applications in the air and pick them up randomly. my checklist is still gone

Ah… I’m half awake. Also, I sent you private message. I’ve thought about just making a facebook group for this thread at this point.
… and done: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1408824432778606/

ok… so apparently the website blocks out links… just search for

GW Transfers and Hopefuls (Fall 2015)

I applied in late May and found out yesterday. Milken School of Public Health here I come! Good luck to the rest of y’all!

SERIOUSLY??? LATE MAY? AND YOU ALREADY HEARD???

@kikomurphyapgar what time did you find out?

@kikomurphyapgar How did you apply in May and get in when the application deadline was 1 April?

Well I have been taking classes at GW since the beginning of the 2014 fall semester. I went to the admissions office and they said the window was still open but would be closing very soon. I got my application in right away. I don’t know. I checked online at like noon yesterday.

Oh I was taking classes at GW as a non-degree student

Yea… I’m gonna ignore how sketchy it is that a late applicant has already been notified. The person I talked with today exclaimed that they’re still going through applications and she believes that it’s a rolling basis of notification because they’ve only notified those that they’re certain about. What that sounds like to me is that decisions have been made without everyone’s application material even being reviewed. Insane.

that does not sound very good.

Yikes…then again we all applied to the business school and haven’t heard back. So either we all didn’t get in or they just haven’t finalized decisions for our school yet. I’m hoping for the latter.

@72saux that was my original thought, but it seems like other schools have released decisions to some but not all, i could be wrong though

also… did anyone give a secondary major/school choice when they applied?

I applied to the elliot school for international relations and my secondary was arabic at the columbian school.

I sent more documents yesterday in a hope they could expedite the process (military evaluation materials) and hit up their twitter this morning to see if it was too late for them to be part of my review process. Nope, they will be reviewed with my application. Further evidence that they haven’t even looked at my stuff, which sounds crazy to me.

wow, at this point its getting ridiculous, did they say when they would look at your application?

Nope, I think they used the “by Friday” line when I called them yesterday.
