Fall 2015 Transfer

@transferfor2015 Nope they said we would hear back in a couple days…but as you can see when the admissions office says a date or a time frame it isn’t always the case.

I just called them and they said that there were a lot more applications than they had anticipated and that decisions will definitely be out sometime this week…but I’m not getting my hopes up because knowing them I probably won’t find out until the day before classes start

@72saux you are planning on hearing that soon? i was thinking around midterms -_-

on lighter note this time the guy side just keep checking your status page, they had more transfer applications than they thought and had a hard time reaching wait list people… what ever that means. sorry i can’t be more help

“there were a lot more applications than they had anticipated”
… and when was the application deadline again? Unreal.

The fact that some people already know raises serious concerns about how fair their admissions process actually is.

I’m one of the luckier ones as I already live in the area so housing isn’t really an issue, it’s just a matter of the non refundable deposits I had to put into other schools and the fact that we’re going to be signing up for classes so late

@revmatching to be honest, you’re probably in a better position than a lot of people here are. with the GI Bill and VA pitching in half of what GWU has to throw down, they probably have to pony up a lot less for you than a normal student.

@AJCoastie Yea, if they take me and the yellow ribbon program goes through I have a full ride in addition to DC BAH. Their agreement with the VA is to contribute $19,500.

Having said that, I’m putting together other options as I’m feeling that I didn’t get in.

just out of curiosity, when did everyone submit their application? hopefully some people who got in already can answer this as well

19 January… Something like that.

oh wow, i applied towards the end of february

I don’t think it’s too relevant. It didn’t seem like they had even looked at my stuff when I called in April to make sure they had all my transcripts.

i was just trying to see if they were releasing decisions in order of application received or what. there has to be a pattern

@transferfor2015 I did a little bit of research.

I believe the first step is this: http://clutterfairyhouston.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/WomanTossingPapers.jpg

Here is the second step: http://image1.masterfile.com/em_w/00/64/40/700-00644018em.jpg

They begin the admissions process in earnest after those two steps have been completed. It shows fairness to all applicants!

Sounds about right. I’m sitting here in disbelief.

yeah i dont get it. why not just sit down and knock through them, there has to be bench mark that can be made to eliminate a good chunk of people that would take a couple hours. then crunch through the rest over the course of a week maybe two, then take a month long summer break… sounds easy enough to me

@revmatching @AJCoastie if we make it through this “ordeal” drinks are on me

Applied by the second week in January.

@BlueRoses123 did you hear back yet?

I didn’t apply till the end of March and I found out June 4th
