I’m applying to NYU as a transfer from my local state college for the fall of 2017. I’m currently a finance major, but my goal is to be an entrepreneur. I was accepted to Gallatin last year, but I am not sure whether to apply there again or to apply to Stern instead. Stern would be more beneficial in a business sense than Gallatin, but I’m mostly interested in the city and networking opportunities so I would rather get accepted to Gallatin again than get rejected by Stern. I would probably switch to marketing if I went to Stern. Here are my stats:
High School GPA: 3.8
College GPA: 4.0
Recommendations: From my English teacher and High School College Advisor
ACT: 32
ECs: Sales Associate at Best Buy, Member of the Student Investment Fund, Member of Pre-Law Society, Member of Entrepreneurship Club, IRS Certified Tax Prep Volunteer, Will officially be CEO of my startup sunglasses company at the time of application.
Would I have a decent chance at Stern as an external transfer? I’ll also be applying to other school but NYU is definitely my first choice and I’d like to end up there next fall.
