@andrewjchang The UC minimum for transfer is 2.4. 3.0 is the competitive gpa. So CAL, SD, LA, for sure you are not getting in without 3.0+,too many good applicants… Im hoping my non-impacted major makes a difference. If not, I’ll try again next year… Merced in the spring perhaps. I have about 3 semester of substandard which is why I have the 2.6 Since then, I’ve turned it around. I was emailed by a UC representative this afternoon talking about grades and prior schools on my application. Judging from the conversation, crossing my fingers wont be a wasted effort, if you know what I mean… Or it could just be wishful thinking. Well see in a few weeks.

@andrewjchang idk when they came out specifically but I got one so I’m assuming they’re already out or should be coming out on a rolling basis? I also didn’t get an email about it, I was just checking my portal for something else and noticed the Regents button on the side so maybe check your portal to see if you have one too. If it’s not there then don’t worry, everything seems to be coming out at different times for people (:
@andrewjchang No, I haven’t submitted the SIR yet; I’m still waiting to hear from other schools before I do so. Yes, it should be in your MyAdmission portal on the right hand side if they’ve sent you it already. If not then fingers crossed you get it and that you get it soon!
has anyone gotten to visit UCI? do you know if transfers are allowed to have on campus housing? can you talk about what the campus looks like? ive never been there unfortunately. how big is their park? if you stand in the center, can you see to the other end? or do you just see nature/park? i would prefer if the park were so big that you couldn’t see end to end lol
@otoribashi I visited late last year and was pretty impressed. School isnt massive so you can walk pretty much anywhere, even the apartments are only a few blocks from campus. The campus itself has a circular layout. The park is in the middle. Im not sure about it being so big to where you can see the other end but its really nice. They have really nice apartments too(camino del sol was my favorite). The only thing i was sort of unsure about were the dining halls and food options on campus. healthiest place i saw was subway but idk if that really matters to you or not. Its right next to a shopping center with resteraunts chipotle, blaze pizza and a few others. There’s also an trader joes and in n out. I liked the campus a lot
is there going to be an event for transfers? i couldn’t find any on their website. there’s one this weekend for admitted students but im assuming it’s for freshman since they say “fellow first years” and “class of 2021”
it would be a shame if this event was supposed to be for transfers too, because they don’t seem to include us at all :C
can’t find any other event on their admissions events website
@phil067 in n out? damn im gonna get fat T__T aww well actually im a fan of huge campuses where one can get lost in, and i heard the circular path is supposed to help prevent people from getting lost (darn).
