Fall Catalog On Line

You do find out who your adviser is prior to arriving in the fall, but if your daughter really wants to know now I don’t see the harm in looking at the Smith Biochem major page [Smith College: Biochemistry](Biochemistry | Smith College) and contacting a couple of the faculty listed as advisers for the major. Have her explain that she knows that the credits were accepted by the registrar (I’m assuming that’s what you meant when you said they all transferred), but that she just wants a better understanding of what classes these transfer credits “replace”. I was going to say to contact the registrar too, but I’m not sure if they’ll be able to tell you the specifics for her intended major.

Please feel free to PM me with any more questions about transferring!

Thanks again, I think she is doing just that. I may take you up on the PM, but I’ll try not to go crazy as I’m sure you’re winding down and gearing up for end of the semester.

sorry to hijack the thread – thanks to the OP for posting the Fall Catalog; I sent it along to my daughter. What a great resource.

Firstie daughter successfully registered for Fall semester this morning. Says she left some good courses for the Class of 2016!
