So is anyone else excited about picking our possible classes for the fall next week? Any ideas of what y'all want to take.

I didn’t know we could start doing that next week. Where’d you see that info?

It talks about it in the new student website. [Registration/ISIS :: Transfer Curriculum Guide :: Mount Holyoke College](http://www.mtholyoke.edu/transfer/registration_isis.html)
This is from the transfer student section but it is the same for first years and Francis Perkins scholars. So we should be able to start registering June 6th. :)

Super excited! I feel like such a keener for having prepared a list of all the classes that I would like to take… How about yourself? Any ideas?

Don’t feel bad I’ve been preparing since I knew I was admitted! I guess I don’t want to miss any of the classes I need since I am an FP student that will graduate in 2013. I am hoping to take Elementary Latin, Ancient Rome, Arth 290 (can’t remember the name, lol), and Philosophy of Religion. If you can’t tell I’m planning on majoring in Ancient Studies and minoring in Religion. So any ideas what you are hoping to get into? I can’t wait for fall to get here!

That sounds so exciting! I can’t wait for fall either, except for the fact I’m leaving all my friends behind. But hey, whatever. I can skype them or something haha!
I am currently thinking of majoring in politics and minoring in international relations so I’ll obviously be looking at classes that pertain to those two departments. But besides that, I will definitely be taking philosophy (because that stuff is intensely interesting ( and sociology courses.

I’ll definitely see you there at orientation?

It does kind of stink leaving friends behind, but I’ve moved a lot so it’s nothing to new for me. I’ve really enjoyed the past sociology courses I’ve taken! I had almost considered a major or minor in that. Yes, I will be orientation!

That’s wonderful It’s good to sort of know at least one person that will be there.

I agree! I just can’t wait to get there and meet people.

I’m so excited to pick my classes, but how many courses can we register for? Four? Six? Until it reaches the maximum credits allowed?

“First-year students are expected to select a total of four 4-credit courses (16 credits). You may wish to add a 1- or 2-credit course (e.g., dance, piano, concert choir).”
[Course Selection :: First-Year Program :: Mount Holyoke College](http://www.mtholyoke.edu/firstyear/course_selection.html)
I am pretty sure that as a first year you cannot register for more than 19 credit hours without advisor and dean of first-year studies approval.
I believe the process may be the same for first semester transfer students as well.

Thank you!!! :)

You are very welcome! I hope you get the classes you want! :)

Course selection tomorrow! I’m going to be lame and do that first thing when I get home from school tomorrow Have fun you guys!

Well I guess I must be lame because I registered already! I figured I was awake so why not? :)

Only lame in the best way! HAHA :)

Thats what I tell myself, lol! Did you get the classes you wanted or at least some good ones?

There were waaay too many classes that I wanted to take but since I was only allowed a maximum of 4 four credit courses, I just took the ones that didn’t overlap in the time table. Man… course selection in high school was so much easier. How about you?

There were some I wanted to take that overlapped with others, but I was able to get the classes I really wanted!

So, on this topic, does anyone know if we’re allowed to register for advanced dance classes now, even if it says that we’ll have to audition in the fall?
