Well for those of us who are still waiting for fall housing I got some additional information. Currently all the on campus housing is full and we will receive letters next week informing us that we did not get an assignment. You can choose to not take action and see if you get a room or cancel the housing agreement. There are about 350 students that did not make it into housing for the fall semester.

Chances are very good that many more spots will open on campus. This happened last year and by August there were vacacies.

i got it apollo too…it wasnt my first choice
but i went and saw it thursday…its the closet building to parking garage B =)

I never did the housing tour during orientation… I didn’t have much time.

I will be in Apollo also. Did you like it?

myUCF won’t let me view my housing assignment. I click on Assignment and a message pops up that states “You are not authorizes to access this component.”

Does anyone else get this message? I am wondering if it is because of the system upgrade or if they are changing my room assignment.

Nevermind…
they have a notice up now:

“The room and roommate assignment page is closed due to maintenance issues. We do not have a date or time for this page to be fixed. Please check back. Thank you.”

Yes, I thought so ^^^. My daughter is currently living on campus and her room assignment page says the same thing.

Same problem here, I think something may have happend during the system upgrade.

yea its fine. I like it lol my mom doesnt tho

My son just got in for summer 2010- he is debating between towers and lake claire- how does she like lake claire

So am I screwed if i haven’t applied for housing yet?
Fall '10 is when i’m attending btw.

No, you’ve got plenty of time! You are looking at an older thread.

Can you apply for housing as soon as you are accepted?

I believe you can, you have plenty of time left though. The reason I’m saying this is because I’m not sure if UCF is your #1 choice, if it is, then go for it! A lot of people wait until all the colleges they applied accepted them and gave them financial aid info before they decide if theyre going to apply for housing because when you apply you have to pay a $200 deposit. I applied for housing for fall 2009 in february of 2009 and got my first choice, just to show you that you still have lots of time. But if you sure that UCF is where you want to go, then by all means feel free to apply for housing when you are accepted. You get to choose 3 preferences and if you have a friend that you want to room with, you simply put their PID. Keep in mind though your price range when you select your preferences because each dorm costs a different amount based on the complex its in and if its a double or single room and how many bathrooms have to be shared and if you have a kitchen or not.

I’m pretty sure applications for fall 2010 housing come out in December. Last year fall housing applications for 2009 came out the first week of December.
