I thought Rush only happens in the Spring.

Formal rush happens in the spring, informal rush (open only to second years and above) happens in the fall. They're changing rush (well, it's actually called recruitment now) up a little bit so it'll be a bit more systemized next fall. But generally it's a lot more informal, you're invited to events (whether it's lunches, Grey's, ice cream, Starbucks, etc), hang out with sisters, and probably get an email inviting you to the next one if you go down the process.

The biggest difference is that only sororities not at total will be doing recruitment in the fall. Due to a huge number of girls going through spring 07 formal recruitment, most houses are full and will not be open for fall recruitment. There will most likely be a limited number of houses open. Sorry to be the bearer of this news. =S

do you have any ideas which houses will be open?? also, do you know which sororities are known to be the less wild ones??

There was a really good thread that gave great descriptions of all of the frats and sororities. I couldn't find it. Anyone else remember it?

Ah, there have been several threads regarding 'descriptions', none of which I would chalk up to good as they were all the posters' opinions. The best I would say is 'verbosely backed up with opinion', haha.

Unfortunately I do not know which houses will be open (I do know mine will not), and would rather not make generalizations about a house of wonderful girls based on what others have said or the single member I've seen from that house.
