I got bumped from 2 classes.
Can i change my entire schedule around, not just the courses I was bumped from?
Does all the changing occur with oasis?

Thanks

Funnn my schedule is awesome. As in, I am only signed up for TEN CREDIT HOURS. lololol… because I got bumped from a 5-hour language class. Easily fixed, I guess.

you can change your entire schedule around.

also note that it is sometimes hard to access oasis during certain time periods, for exmple monday morning. maybe they fixed this, but i know last year this was always a problem.

Are there certain dates where schedule changing is permitted since people mention a specific date for adjusting bumped courses?

If you were bumped from a course, you can start today. If not, you can start aug 3.

Im trying to add now but it keep saying option disabled by administrator do you know what exact time they open up because I woke up at 6 Am cali time just to get all my classes in lol

Sometimes during high traffic times, like now, its really hard to login to oasis. keep trying and eventually you’ll get in

Thanks nicole07, I got in and register for the class I want. Can we still get bumped from these class we sign up for today? or is it guarantee when it says enrolled?

Once you are enrolled you will not be bumped, you only can get bumped from requested classes.

guarenteed enrolled, dirthod is 100% right…but this reminds me

when the waitlist feature starts (which I believe is 8am the first day of classes, check me on this!), you do not stay on the waitlist indefinitely, or even until add/drop has finished. Every 24 hours you need to update your waitlist status and you do this by doing update wait (class).

This messes some people up becaues they forget to update their position on the waitlist within 24 hours. When this happens you are taken off the waitlist, and sometimes you can’t get back on because it is full!

Also, the waitlist goes in order of when you signed up to be on it. But preference is also given by seniority and by major.

The only writing seminars that my son could take after his bumping were African American and diaspora studies 115F. He is presently enrolled in this seminar and on waitlist for another. He does not seem to mind his choice, but it is dissapointing that the seminars are so competitive. Why bother putting down 6 choices? This was done on the phone with his advisor.

I took my freshmen seminar my 2nd semester (SOC 115F:Womb to Tomb with Laura Carpenter). I really liked the course description so I waited until spring semester, even though I wanted to take one fall semester.

It’s not the end of the world to take your writing seminar 2nd semester freshmen year if it means a more engaging/interesting topic with a better teacher.

What did you take first semester?

BSCI 100 w/lab- biology today
PSY 101- intro to psych
SPAN 104- intermediate spanish
MATH 150a- calc

The spanish was 5 credits and the bio with lab was 4. It was really good to get the lab science out of the way first semester… a lot of people put this of and its a pain to fulfill this axle later on since the lab is sometimes hard to work into your schedule.
