fall schedules are up

Just wanted to let everyone know that you can see what classes you got into but looking at access to academic information. The tab is under the students section of the vandy webpage. It might be up on oasis too...but I'm not sure.

If anyone knows the dates that oasis is open to add and drop classes, post the date!

i believe July 27th

yay, as usually they butcher my schedule, this is so stupid, arg

Holy @#$% one of my textbooks is $200!

False. They’re still changing things for the next week, I think.

as in still changing our schedules? who did you hear that from?

vandy.edu/classof2013 admonishes not to sneak peeks because they’re still shuffling, even though you can access the info now.

I HOPE they’re still shuffling. I got into all the classes I wanted, but some of them sans teachers. o_0

They left my schedule alone up until the day before yesterday or so, and I was naive enough to think my schedule might get away unscathed…

Unfortunately, it was not to be so…Please, Vanderbilt schedule-shuffling gods, shuffle me OUT of that 12:10 to 1:00 class! I need my lunch time, haha

Yeah, I also have heard from people connected to Vandy that these courses they have up on the AAI thing are not final by any means. They are still shuffling/bumping things around - we should get an email around July 27th about the tentative schedule, then there’ll be an adjustment drop/add period. Fun stuff. lol.

Not having lunch at noon isn’t so bad. Rand is crazy at 12…ridiculous lines

on my aai account, it doesnt list my first year writing seminar. Although it does say in the SUBJECT AREA box “EARTH&ENVIRON SCI” and i signed up for sustainability as my first priority.

Does this give me any indication that i got this class?

I really have no idea, haha. We’ll all know for sure (more or less) in two days, so I suppose we might as well just wait.

On another topic, though…they don’t list me as having any testing credit (under external info or whatever it’s called–the other tab), and I sent in my AP scores two months ago…

Is that normal?

is the schedule final? because on there I noticed they didn’t sign me up for a freshman seminar and all the ones I choose are in the fall.

I don’t think the schedules are final since you can’t access them on OASIS, yet, I believe.

i’m pretty sure the chances of you seeing this schedule eventually show up on Oasis are pretty high.

You are able to change as in add and drop classes in Oasis on the 27th, if you were bumped from a class.

But even if you are not happy with your schedule you have a lot of time to get what you want. Only one time was I not able to get into a class I wanted to. If you stay on top of your game, and pay attention to dates for add/drop and waitlist, you should be able to get what you want.

am i able to change my schedule on the 27th if i didnt get the section i wanted, but i got the class. for instance, if my 11 am math class was moved to 8 am, can i change things around on monday?

no only if you were actually bumped from a class

does not gettting into your 1st choice first-year writing seminar count as being “bumped” if you still got a seminar. i got my 6th choice and I don’t even know why i put that one down but I want out of it lol.

nope doesn’t count. when you can sign onto oasis your class will be showed and then the words BUMPED wil be right after it. So it’s pretty clear if it counts as a bump or not.

I think Aug 2nd, is the date to start adding/dropping for people who were not bumped out of a class.

If you were “bumped” out of a time slot (but still have the class) is there any way of getting that time slot later?

Also, is the VU Visions thing really a class or just a group sort of thing? What time/how long does it meet usually or does that vary greatly?
