Fall semester textbooks and process

Boy I hope they get this fixed, between their online process going down and bouncing between the two bookstores it was not a good situation. Hope that for spring everything will be working properly.

S told us he won't be ordering any textbooks on-line again because it was such a pain and because several of his profs told him ..."eh, ya don't need that one or that one." So, for next semester, he's waiting until he attends the first class and then get his textbooks in person.

That's what my son did, but then the bookstore was out of several of his books! He ended up getting most of his books at the bookstore after classes started, and then ordering some online (half.com is one of our favorites). The whole textbook thing is SUCH a scam. I can't believe they are still ripping kids off like this. It was like that 30 years ago when I was there. Sigh.

The Math book alone was $125

Try <a href="http://www.cheapesttextbooks.com/%5B/url%5D">http://www.cheapesttextbooks.com/</a> or <a href="http://www.isbn.nu/%5B/url%5D">http://www.isbn.nu/</a>
These sites search other bookstores like amazon.com and half.com to find the lowest prices. Just be careful that you are getting the right edition and leave enough time for shipping. You can save a lot of money!

The best bet is to shop by the ISBN. That way you know you are getting the right edition. I'm sure DS will get more of his texts this way for winter.
