Fall Transferring vs Spring Transferring

<p>Which semester is generally more selective in accepting undergraduate students for matriculation?</p>

<p>Is it the fall semester because so many students try to transfer in, or is it the spring semester because colleges can only accept a specific amount of students, based on their yield, and less students apply?</p>

<p>I'm leaning heavily towards transferring during the 2010 spring semester, even though it might be more competitive and many top schools only allow fall semester transfer.</p>

<p>I’d also like to know if it’s harder to fit in socially as a Spring or Fall transfer, if anyone has any insight?</p>
