Are sophomore-standing and junior-standing transfer applicant pool separate?

any transfer got their decisions yet?

mine is in...rejected :-(

I got it in the mail at my house yesterday (i'm still at school...) so I guess they're in the mail and people should be getting em today if they haven't already?

AdmissionsDaniel (or anyone) - Are there special Orientation sessions in the fall for transfers? To help them get to know each other, acclimate etc? Or do they just attend the Freshman transfer stuff. The admitted student website mentioned in S' acceptance letter seems to be generic, rather than transfer-specific Thanks.

sorry all - I have been on vacation the past couple of weeks, so that is why I haven't been able to update you on the transfer review process...

I did post an update to the Hopkins Insider blog today:
http://hopkins.typepad.com/hopkins_insider/2006/06/were_back_and_b.html

"Update For Transfer Applicants

Speaking of transfers, starting around May 26 and ending late last week the Transfer Admissions committee finalized and released (by email and mail) our Fall 2006 transfer decisions. As I mentioned in my previous post, this was quite a large transfer applicant pool so the Committee was very keen on reviewing each application thoroughly. Since I do not work closely with the transfer review process, I am not privy to many statistics, aside from letting you know the acceptance rate was close to 14%."

jmmom - there is a bit of a different Transfer Student Orientation ... you can learn more about it here:
http://www.jhu.edu/orientat/transfers.html

if your son chooses to enroll, then he will receive specific info about the orientation program for transfers.

Thanks, Daniel.
