If I have a family member who attended Brown and has donated money over the years, should they send in a letter in my favor to the admissions office? My uncle has also been an alumni interviewer.

There’s no space for anything like this on the common app, so I’m wondering if it would hurt to have a letter sent in separately.

Thanks!

Isn’t there a question about this on the supplement?

If your family member has donated several million dollars, they have a development officer assigned to them who they can talk to about your admission.

Other than that, there is absolutely positively no reason to have some relative write a letter. You are considered legacy if your parents or sibling went to Brown.
