Famous Professors?

<p>I recently visited Princeton, and I learned that the character from ,"A Beautiful Mind," was in fact a professor there. After learning this, I'm vurious, what other universities have "famous," professors.</p>

<p>P.S. I heard Stanford has Condolezza Rice.</p>

<p>John Astin, the actor who played Gomez in the Adams family is the Professor and Director the drama and theatre at Johns Hopkins.</p>

<p>Most top colleges has famous professors, however it is highly unlikely they teach undergrads and if they do it is usually a large lecture. Rarely do undergrads get to meet or work with them. They focus on grad students and research.</p>

<p>Our basketball coach teaches an honors management and theory class in the business school.</p>

<p>The former mayor of Philadelphia (and a corrupt one at that) teaches urban politics and policy.</p>

<p>Elie Wiesel teaches at Boston U.</p>

<p>The late Richard Feynman, famous Physics Prof at CalTech</p>

<p>Kenny Burrell, one of the all-time jazz guitarists is a music professor, and the director of jazz studies at UCLA</p>

<p>Noam Chomsky is a famous Linguistics professor and political activist at MIT.</p>

<p>The late Nim Chimpsky was a famous chimpanzee who was the subject of animal language studies at Columbia University. I suspect he kept rather aloof from undergraduates.</p>
