Famous Smart People that went to state schools or lower level universities?

Joe Biden attended university of Delaware.

Not sure that’s a positive. He is known as a rambling buffoon they try to keep hidden.

Maybe you would prefer Michelle Bachmann, Winona State University UG and Oral Roberts University law school?

Some posts are not focusing on the original post: SMART people who went to state or …schools.

Smart does not necessarily equal rich and/or famous.

Well, considering the last couple of posts, many people DO think of them as intelligent, since we elected them to lead us, and only a foolish nation would willingly allow themselves to be driven toward the brink by fools…oh wait. Point taken MDMom :)

So you are saying Biden is not a buffoon who tends to ramble and is kept hidden as much as possible by the Obama admin? And they will likely drop him in 2012? What does that even have to do with MB? Come on, I lived through Agnew and Quayle too. You don’t have to be that bright to be VP.

barron, I was simply giving you a more conservative person that went to a state school or lower level university. I actually happen to have great respect for Joe Bidn, and though he may ramble, he is able to pick up on the nuances of the US political system. Since I don’t want to close this amusing and informativ thread, I will keep my comments about MB to myself, thank you.
As for the sarcastic comment in rsponse to MDMom, it was in response to the list of CEOs and political leaders. It was meant to be lighthearted, not an attack on any of the leaders.

That was sarcastic? Didn’t take offense at all. I didn’t say who I thought fit the famous and rich nor did I mention who I didn’t think was smart. lol

Lt. General James T. Conway was the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps starting in 2006. He is a 1969 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Good MDMom, I really meant it to be lighthearted. I agreed with your post entirely, considering that the list was focusing on rich and political, which certainly do not equal smart in my book all the time.
