Can somebody advise me on. 1)dorms. 2)double majoring. 3)ap credits. And these are for a start.......

Those aren’t even questions. Do you even understand what a FAQ is?

Yeah…frequently asked question…which is why I named it that because many people question about those same things…

1) depends on the college
2) depends on the college
3) depends on the college

What are you asking about? Those are three incredibly broad categories. Give us a specific question and we can try to help.

Ok I’ll start with #2 …how does that work?

Double majoring is up to you. You need to decide what it is you want to study, and the best thing would be to ask somebody at the school. Obviously, you would like to see if you can try to graduate in four years, but often times double majoring may be difficult, moreso at larger institutions, where you might have difficulty in getting your prerequisite classes. That does not mean that it is impossible, as I know several people who have completed two majors within four years.

As far as dorms, every college has a different set up with its residential life. I don’t think anybody could answer this question, since it really depends on the schools that you are looking at.

In regards to AP tests, you would need to check with each individual school that you are interested in as to how they address AP tests, specifically what scores they accept, and how much credit they offer for each test.

What about accounting with finance or business administration?

I really couldn’t answer that question since I was a French major (and went into medicine). I think this would be best answered by the schools that you are interested in. I’m sure that you can find whoever the undergraduate coordinator is for whatever major you were interested in and asked about double majoring in accounting and finance. There is also probably a thread somewhere on this website regarding business majors.

1) Different for every university. My university separated male and female dorms. No visitation before 10am or after midnight. No alcohol. Even if you walked into the building and looked drunk the RA was allowed to call campus police (in case you died later or something.) My campus was a dry campus but people were always drinking. It wasn’t heavily enforced. Anyway, in some dorms you’ll use a community shower, in some you’ll have a personal shower in your room. Some dorms are “suites” which house 5-6 people, but most just house 2. You can request a specific roommate, or you can be ‘blindly paired’ with someone else.

2) Double majoring is practically the same as having one major, you just claim 2 when you register for university.

Thank you so much!
