If you are not accepted into the Honors Business program at Miami your freshman year, is the business education at Miami still a top 25 program?

ANother question in that vain, how do you know if you are accepted into Business Honors? As I understand, just because you make university honors program does not mean you mean business honors – is that correct?

My son just got his notification from Farmer that he was also a direct admit to Honors Business. This was a plus for him. He was accepted Direct Admit to Kelley, as well, but they don’t put you into Honors until you are a sophomore.

My son was given direct admit, too. Wonder how many they really directly admit. His stats did not match the given criteria, either. I can only guess that they put emphasis on the fact that he has 20 college credits in business classes. His high school has a huge business department and offers about 16 courses each year.

So what are the perks of the “direct admit”??

Congratulations on being admitted to Miami University; I am thrilled to hear about your interest in studying business. Because of your outstanding academic record and significant potential as a student of business, I am pleased to offer you direct and immediate admission into the Farmer School of Business.

Normally, Miami students are admitted into the Farmer School after completing the sophomore year. Direct admission means that you will be a student in the Farmer School starting with your first day on campus. Direct admission will give you earlier access to some business courses and also enhance your ability to take advantage of the many opportunities available to you as a student in the Farmer School, such as:

Has anyone more information about the Business Honors program? Approximately how many students are admitted as freshmen? What is the minimum GPA to remain in Business Honors? Any current or former bus. hon. students please weigh in.
