@shinybulbasaur Yea! so maybe it is just altered a bit because a decision has been made? But I feel like the entire application box itself has gotten shorter? Or the anxiety has me seeing things.
I think it’s the same… mine hasn’t changed (LITERALLY, I have been checking it at least 3 times a day since I submitted my portfolio)
@5amsnitch I hear you, I am actually able to get my decision on my application online from another school so I am checking it multiple times a day. This school should get with the times and post their decisions on the application status, saves so much paper and stress!
word, the anxiety of this whole application process is overwhelming. if they actually posted the status online like other schools, it would be so much better.
Right?! Has anyone tried calling to see if a decision has been made on their applications? Based on last years posts, the school might tell you.
@leele85 I called a few days ago and the woman on the phone was really short with me, which I thought was rude. She just told me when letters would be mailed out.
I emailed admissions twice and they both gave me two different answers as to when the letters would be going out. One said prior to April first and the second email told me after April they would be sent out. Admissions needs to get their story straight because it’s causing so much confusion and unnecessary anxiety.
I have the current program too but I don’t think it was there before
@jacklabarbera The FIT Facebook says they began going out on March 10. I’m guessing the second email was lying to you.
Last week I spoke to the admissions and the lady said the mails/emails come in batches and that all most everyone should receive their decisions by April 1st or before .
I called after that and they said decisions should be known by April 1st so i guess that’s what’s happening. This waiting game is getting annoying though.
It’s very annoying! I mean just send the letters already people.
This may seem like an inane question. I am currently living in Georgia, am thinking of going to FIT in the fall 2015, after a one year period are you still on the out of state tuition, does it change or stays the same?
@Valen1 If you go to FIT and just live in the dorm and go back home for the summer then yes, you still have to pay out of state tuition.
To be eligible for in-state tuition you have to have a legal residence for at least a year before the first day of the semester.

@Valen1 you’d be paying out of state the first year. It takes a while to process, so you’d be paying put of state for the first semester of the second year. But they will retro back to you the difference once residency is established. I read it somewhere on the FIT website.
GUYS IM PARANOID check your myfit under the tab “main menu” then click on “placement tests scheduling and results” and then click “placement test results” and see if you get a screen that tells you certain courses youre required to take based on your SAT or ACT score. Im wondering if this is good news
