What do you think will be the hottest back to school trend, type of clothing, accesories etc? The must haves and the what not are hots.

I think the blazer is an essential thing to have in a girls wardrobe and I want to get one of those tie cloth sweater things that rise midway. I want cool long earings that are pretty and colorful.

For guys, rugby shirts. Of course, they're not exactly new, because I saw a rack of them in Old Navy the other day, but I'm still pretty sure they'll be big. Keeping the general preppy thing going but making it a bit more athletic.

rugby shirts soooooo last year. i personally hate fashion trends persay. i dont mind fashion, but when fashion people are like "blue is in" or whatever, it just sounds retarded to me. if i like blue, i'm wearin blue, whethere its "in" or not.

I think the sweater thing is called a shrug. Those things that don't cover your tummy and tie at your chest?

I dunno, but for this fall/winter I'm gonna collect lots and lots of bracelets, even though that's not a trend...I always liked the look where you wear like 1000000 bracelets on each wrist.

I hate it when big bellyed people wear shrugs!! Do they not know that it makes them look even bigger?
And I hate it when girls with bit hips and theighs, wear jeans tucked into their ugg boots! do they not know that it makes them look bigger?

Sorry I just had to rant about these things. They may say "I don't care what people think of me" but we all know that they secretely do care. And it just hurts my eyes when seeing these nice clothes on the wrong person.

And I so agree with coqui. I sit next to this girl in Chemistry who talks about the latest trend all the time. I dont mind that part. I like fashion. I'm very much fashion obsessed. But I HATE it when she says stuff like (this is an example from a while back):

" OMG YOU KNOW THOSE VINTAGE EARRINGS PEOPLE WEAR? WELL THEY ARN'T REALLY MY TYPE OF THING..IT LOOKS A BIT UGLY.. BUT I'M GOING TO GET THEM ANYWAY BECASUE EVERYONE ELSE WEARS THEM"
 What kinda loser says that.

anways, I like blazers! I bought one in black the other day. I wanted gold buttons at the sleeve but i couldn't find any :( I got this pastel pink one too but the color's turned a bit dirty. I'm still looking for the perfect pair of skinny jeans! they are so hard to find. And I'm shopping around for a black miniskirt, and a slip on summer dress (they look so good with jeans).

I went to a prep school where just about every girl wore a Polo/Lacoste/Le Tigre/Juicy shirt every day with a J.Crew skirt/sweater/pants and Berkenstocks/Uggs with a Burberry headband or trucker hat or whatever. I felt so out of place and embarassed practically living out of Walmart, Marshalls, Bob's, and Kohls. For the first time in 3 years I don't have a dress code. I'm not letting fashion trends stop me from wearing what I want to wear, especially if they're gonna make my wallet empty. In fact, I'm going to go to some thrift stores before school starts and just buy a whole bunch of cheap, random stuff because...well I'm not a preppy clone and hate when people labeled me like that because of the school I went to.

I agree with you NOFX about the boot thing! I don't think those boots are really attractive period. If your going to wear them go skiing or snowboarding. People wear those in Texas. It's just horrendously ugly!

I hate those boots, also...they are called Uggs..I can see why they are called that because they are extremely ugly. I would understand if you were up north and using it for snowboots, but down here in Texas (gulf coast where it doesn't snow) people still wear them. I don't follow trends, but I can already tell that the the half cut blazers (literally half the blazer is cut) are coming back into style, and I think those are ugly, too. They should've just left that trend back in the '80s...next thing you know..shoulder pads will be coming back in style.

I've read in vogue that those high rise pencil skirts are coming back.. Those ugly ugly ugly straight skirts that go waaaay over the belly button.. ewwww
that's like, what my mum used to wear aaaaagess ago.. (along with shoulder padded jackets)
Imagine fellow teenagers wearing those ugly skirts :s

LOL Scientist! xD =] For me, punk/gothic clothes! xD Color black black black. Muwhahaha I'm so dark. >>;;; Beware of SNEAKiiE! >/// [is weird] >>;;;

The magazines have been saying that pencil skirts will/might come back for a while now. Haven't seen any in real life yet, but I'm keeping my eyes open.
