<p>Hey, Im an Indian male residing in India. Before I get on with my stats I would like to just point out that unlike in the US, oppurtunity to do things in India is minimal - so could youll chance me keeping that in mind (I hope the admission officers to that when they're evaluating me)</p>

<p>Academics: In India we dont have the GPA system but I would probably speculate mine to be 3.7/4 I would probably be in the top 6 in my class
I have recieved subject awards etc and have been in the honour role
SAT1 - 2370/2400
SAT2 - Physics - 800 Chemistry - 790 Math2C - 790</p>

<p>ECS/Awards (Only the major stuff - briefly stated)</p>

<p>Chess: National level player (might play in the world championships next year if that heps)
Have placed highly in city,state and national level tournaments
Have won local tournaments
Possess a Fide Rating
Captain of chess team</p>

<p>Piano: Stood 3 in district in piano 3rd grade practical exam. Cleared Grade 4 practical with merit. Scored 98/100 in the Theory Grade 1 exam
Guitar: Played for 4 years - am part of a band</p>

<p>INTEL: regional finalist (We dont get much oppurtunity or time to prepare)
Science Olympiad - 4th</p>

<p>Research: 1) At a world renowned lab - got a letter of recommendation from a top prof there
2) At a very renowned place in India - got a recommendation form a former Yale, Harvard and Princeton alumni ( is a prof there)</p>

<p>Community Service: Many hours also started my own project - clean this really dirty river near school</p>

<p>Cleared Grade 5 speech and drama with distinction</p>

<p>Varsity: Soccer, Cricket, Chess, Table Tennis</p>

<p>Essay: Very good
Teacher Rec's: Good to above average</p>

<p>i would say you have a great chance for whatever schools you are interested in</p>

<p>u got uscf rating? wot is it. U must be a really high rating if u gonna play world-wide. only 1700 for me :(</p>

<p>i dont live in the us so hence i dont have a uscf rating. although, however i used to live in the US (NY) many years ago and over there i was one of the top players in my age group (but i was very small) lol</p>

<p>What is your FIDE rating? =p Seems to have a great chance to me, but as with all of these top schools, it is down to chance. Good luck anyway =p</p>
