Father lost his job before the July orientation

Just today, my father lost his job before my orientation which is next week. My family gross income is around $30,000 per year, now it produces to like half. Is there anything I can do during the orientation I can inform the school about my situation?

During any free time you have at orientation (you don’t have to go to all the information sessions on your orientation schedule–just the mandatory safety information session, meeting your advisor, and registering your classes are the most important ones), you can visit the financial aid office in Dutton Hall near the MU (if you don’t know where either of those are, don’t worry, I think they generally provide a map for you when you check in) and tell them your dad’s situation. You’ll have to check their hours though, because I think they close early or something during summer.

Hound everyone about your situation that you can and you can get some help. Look for scholarships too.
