Father's day: What will you do for him?

<p>So father's day is tomorrow, just curious at the different ways people will try to show their appreciation to their father. So what will you be doing? Will it be a simple "happy father's day" and a big hug. Will it be a fancy dinner at his favorite restaurant, or will you get him a nice set of golf clubs? Many possibilities out there....</p>

<p>Give him a thank you letter that reads. Thanks for giving me the sperm I needed to live.</p>

<p>My father is in Florida golfing, he comes back on Monday and I’m forcing him to take me shopping. I’m going to Florida on Tuesday with my mother and sister and we’ll be back on Friday. Next Sunday we’ll celebrate “Father’s Day” so my sister and I will give him the shirt we bought today.</p>

<p>Funny thing is tomorrow is our other sister’s birthday and then next Sunday is my niece’s birthday.</p>

<p>I bought my dad a new suit that cost $600. Hurray for private tutoring moneys!</p>

<p>Also treating him to a steak house near La Jolla that’s expensive while he sports his new suit :D. Father bonding I missed out for a couple of years!</p>

<p>$50 per hour for 3 clients. 4 times a week 2 hours a day. Yup!</p>

<p>I tutor elementary kids through middle school on basic English as well as Algebra and Geometry :).</p>

<p>Haha. I was really lucky to have scored these clients, it was all mouth to mouth too from the first client.</p>

<p>You should try it too. I mean, why not get paid for what we use best? And, the wage rate is determined by YOU, not anyone else. I could have charged $10 or $20, but since they wanted me to drive up to their area, I just said, “Well gas prices these days, I would have to say it has to be $50, is that fine with you?” And they generally say yeah. </p>

<p>Having a car would be a great plus too. If your looking to do business in the tutoring business, look up core curriculum on what the students are learning and will be learning, and assist with him there, unless the student already has a track.</p>

<p>Be willingly to offer your transcript as evidence of your intellect as well as a personal statement of yourself if needed. I only had to give out 2 transcript :D.</p>

<p>So its worth doing if you have the time and want to save up. It gets fun after the first couple of encounters cause you get to see how the kid is like and how smart kids these day who are determined are!</p>
