<p>Inspired by the princess thread, I got to thinking: who doesn't like a good, evil villain? I'd have to say the most sinister are:</p>

<p>I thought it was interesting when the sea witch cut out the little mermaid’s tongue. She actually didn’t seem that evil.</p>
<p>You forgot Jafaar!!! [from Aladdin] btw, has anybody else notice (or is it just me?) his character was kind of racist lol.</p>
<p>I HATE Frollo. He can go die. He’s the worst out of all of them!!! He was just downright EVIL and coldhearted.</p>

4. Ursula <—she took away Ariel’s voice!!! that was so mean…and then she wasn’t going to give it back and turned her dad into a sea plant [almost] forever!!! AND on top of that almost stole the prince away from her!!! ***!!!

<p>My FAVORITE villain is Gaston. He was a friggin idiot yet he still managed to incite a riot relatively quckly</p>
<p>Gaston was a weird villain. </p>
<p>Maleficent was downright terrifying. She is definitely the scariest. And Frollo is right there behind here.</p>

That has to be one of the creepiest scenes I’ve seen in a Disney film. Still gives me chills over a decade later.</p>

<p>-Jafar is kind of silly [bad, but not evil]
-Sid is just a weird kid that likes to mutilate toys [serial killer in the making, but not bad in the movie]
-Radcliffe is pretty bad, maybe #7
-Yzma is just wierd and has a power complex- she wants to kill a spoiled prince to gain his throne, but she’s not evil, per se
-Cruella De Ville is maybe #8- animal cruelty
-Edgar is actually pretty reasonable- I mean, no one should ever just kill a cat, but his crazy old boss was going to leave a vast fortune to her CATS before him. On the other hand, he could have just taken care of them as usual. I mean they’re cats. Just because they “own” her fortune doesn’t mean he can’t live it up in style if he’s caring for them.</p>
<p>Hellfire is epic. HoND is perhaps one of the only Disney movies that treats us like a n adult- I didn’t understand the adult themes as a child [so it’s not inappropriate], but I can watch it at 15 years old and be interested. The score is epic. And seriously, Disney pulled of a kids’ movie about genocide, intolerance, corruption, lust and greed. gotta give em their props. DreamWorks did pretty well with Prince of Egypt though, that ranks way up there with the good Disney movies- the score is great [many of the songs were written by the guy who wrote the songs for Wicked], the animation is spectacular and Ramses is especially chilling.</p>

<p>bahahaha. weell what COULD you say about HP? I mean, Voldy’s pretty much the most badass evil villain in the series… no debate there…</p>
<p>Izzy: The Prince of Egypt is such a great movie! I loved the soundtrack especially. I think it’s one of the best movies Dreamworks ever made.</p>

<p>Ok… because I loved the novel, and the movie was a pure classic, Frollo is awesome. But… nothing beats Scar.</p>
<p>@izzy: the top villains and how villainous they are</p>
<p>I stand by Gaston as an epic villain. I cite the musical numbers “Gaston” and “Belle.” Both are ridiculously quotable :)</p>
<p>I’m torn between Jafar and Hades. On one hand, Jafar had immense wardrobe and evilness successes, but Hades dominated in style. Plus, he knew how to make a good pun.</p>
<p>hades is funny, but you have to admit: frollo is truly evil… he scared me as a kid [so did maleficent]. jafar doesn’t even compare.</p>

<p>I don’t think I liked Hunchback when I was little. But I’ve seen it very few times. I liked Cinderella the most. Lady Tremaine made me very, very angry. Thinking about her tapping her pocket with the key inside it… I’m turning (metaphorically) red.</p>
<p>But Sleeping Beauty became my favorite when I was maybe 5. Maleficent: “Imbeciles!” I halfway credit her with my liking of words.</p>
